Maybe a showoff page, and a separate reaction page? So when looking for reply's won't have to load the amount of images again.

Nonono it won't Some forums have this. There is a project page. And a reaction page. It isn't that annoying since the reactionpage link is given in the end of the showoff. Just a simple klick and then a neat overview
