Mappers Guild?

Hi,
I have seen that the name "Mappers Guild" will probably be the name, but when shall it be online? I mean, when will "Mappersguild.net" launch?

I'll finish sending some paper work to them today. This afternoon here in Brazil. Now it's 11am yet.

Once I finish, I'm hoping they will give me my username and password so I can access the FTP server. This being done, I'll install Vbull in it, configure it from bottom to top, and I plan it to be done top at the end of the week top most.
When I think it's good enough for members to start joining, I'll open it up and keep fixing things while we start the community.

I promised we'd have Vbull, now we do! Let's do our best to have the community working well.

Will be hard make a logo for this name: "Mappers Guild"

Suggestion: A shield with a symbol (dunno) and write on the shield "Mappers"
Should look like those medieval family (Bruce translate :p: brasões de famílias)

And I made the half-top banner (how I suggest) just uploading here to show how I imagined this (for mappers hell name )


PS.: Half I mean just a part, is not good made, but is just to show how it should be (for me), not this color (wrong in the beggining and didn't want start all again :p), please take a look at the bottom, some parts are missing, just to figure out that already burned. (hope the all image appears that the word Mappers is burning x.x)

And of course, I prefer "Mappers Core" then Mappers Guild, but who am I?

if we'd go along with the shield medieval theme, we won't have the text burning for sure, since that ain't telling us anything about Medieval-Family shields

I like the shield-Idea.

Maybe a "M G" on it? and over the shield will be writte: "Mappers" and under it: "Guild".

looks nice Air, however I think the 'M' doesn't fit in there, it looks like it's hanging in the air in front of the shield

I bet you can do better, since that example really tells people, PLOX PHOTOSHOP, fix edges, fix shadings and all that crap. and jus add a solid background.

the shield looks nice.. but the M looks like it is a sticker on the shield or that the shield was a picture and you added the m with paint.. I don't know photoshop and all those programs, but is it also possible to get the "Old" looking colours like brown or gray? Cuz a "guild" is from the past.. and not from tha future

no, zwei is german for 2 in dutch is 20 twintig and 12 twaalf
and yes, it means pig (zwein=pig)
